whos the Scrap-heap survival challenge then? lol
This would be one of my mates, who challenge every time we go to Curborough is to get the cheapest knacker he can and have some fun with it. He does have some ground-rules though ie no oil leakages, working brakes, nothing to damage the track surface etc.

We had a Impreza WRX once and we managed to blow it up after 3 laps!?!?!?!? Back on the trailor that went! The last one was a BMW which was a good drifting laugh.

So you get the sentiment of the day; we have some serious play-time and set-up and we also have a laugh and a mess about. We just enjoy ourselves!

Not long now! :-D

No worries Bob, cheers for your help!

Basically, I was discussing with Bob potential venues and events we/ I could arrange. I've looked into Mallory Park and it is working-out too much for me to organise on my own or, really, even the club. However, if we get the interest and positive feed-back from the event at Curborough, then we were considering arranging a 'Budget Cup'. Cheap, timed track access for any car enthusiast to bring their car to and compete on a timed basis against one another. Awards would range from 'fastest lap', 'most impressive drive' to 'shed of the day', 'best off of the day' etc Basically, catering for all no matter what you bring or how serious you are at competing.

What do you all think? Would you be interested in that?

I could invite the SXOC, Astra owners, GTI owners etc too, so we have a good variety?

Your comments and thoughts would be appreciated.

Also, there are still some track-passes available. E-mail me via rtdev-trackdays@hotmail.co.uk if you are interested.

Cheers! :-D

cant make it ollie as all the rear end of my car will be cut away as im awaiting new kit to fit.
if i get another old shitter in by then i may take that with me just to have a good laugh in, but if not then il definately do the september one.

so if anyones got an old crapper floating about (dont care what it is, mini, escort, micra, whatever as long as it runs) il buy it off you and you can have it back at the end of the day, or il just dump it:lol:

cheers for the offer russ but i would rather use an old shitter for fear of breaking your car (and we know how easy they break:lol:), however if anyone up your neck of woods has an old crapper they dont mind me using though then il take them up on that, then il be able to go:-D

lol, you must be well shocked then bob :) I just stuck it up as there was a few track that iv never herd of and i just thought if its a small, lesser known track then the chances of getting it booked out for the day would be high. I hadnt even looked at the more well known track days to be honest mate.

Hope you get a shitter anyway mate, i wanna see the engine on the floor and we can play spot the part lol
