Where I have drawn in red on the images above its where the threaded bolts from the calliper screw into the bracket.
On the 310mm kits the threaded bolts are longer to allow the accommodation of the larger disc and bell, with a polybush spacer threaded on to the bolt situated between the bracket and the calliper
The actual bracket (gold/yellow) remains bolted in the same place
