Speedo Keeps Cutting Out?

and on the 2nd point.... 17" wheels have about 10%/15% (ish) larger rolling diameter than standard so the speedo reads that much lower..... which is never good. I probably wouldn't care so much if the speedo actually worked I guess...

Only if you keep the origional tyre ratios. (205/50/15->205/50/17)
A 205/50/15 is 586mm diammetre
A 205/40/17 is 595mm diammetre
That's only a 1.7% difference, sod all as far as you speedo knows.

I just used that as an example as my car came with 205s fitted.

You'll have to go for 215/35/17s then to keep close (12mm out)

This post was started back in August by Nick, we bought the car in January and the speedo still only worked intermittently.

Bought 2nd hand speedo from Dewsbury (Nissan spares) it didn't work sent it back and they took £30 as administration charge! Fitted brand new speed sensor, it didn't work! Got new mph converter/delimiter, it didn't work!!!

Then bought speedo from Timur-White Knight.....£300 + later IT WORKS!!!

Fast Guy: if you need a delimiter/converter, we've got one and we're in N.Yorks.

I'll come down one weekend and you can try it, I won't sell it to you until you know it works.
