I've got a 2 full days on the car this weekend, so looking to get some of the other crappy bits out of the way and also look at hooking up the battery to see how many electrcial issues I've gathered while its been sat in my garage for 8 years!
Progress has now stopped until next year.
I'm poor and need to start saving up over the next 6 months ready for Feb/March next year and continue with the car!

The spacer has worked.
It's a 15mm thick spacer, but when it's all tightened down, the gap should be about 5-10mm from the gearbox.
The exhaust needs a little jiggling around as its a little off from being bolted on, but that shouldn't (I hope) be a major job.
Let the project continue...

Yay! Finally. My 10 mm spacer is enough but only just, 15 would’ve been more accommodating. Rock on!

The spacer has worked.
It's a 15mm thick spacer, but when it's all tightened down, the gap should be about 5-10mm from the gearbox.

Well it did work, but its now made it a nightmare to fit the exhaust.
Dug out my old turbo to see how much it will be to get that rebuilt as a tempoary fit just to get the car started.
Beyond pissed off at the moment!

Old GT2871RS turbo is being rebuilt as a temporary fix so I can get the car started.
Collect it hopefully Tuesday next week, right before I'm busy so can't work on the car.
So install should start on the 14th Oct.
Also collected a Z32 maf, so should be a case of fit and start the car, fingers crossed!

I'm genuinely losing the fucking will with this car.
After spending £500 getting the old turbo refurbished
I can't fit it because....
... for the life of me, I can't find the oil return feed.
I've turned my garage upside down trying to find it with no luck.
I spent almost a full day trying to look for the thing!
Today I tried to custom make a return feed.
However, it doesn't fit after multiple attempts due to bulkiness of the the connections.
I'm absolutely tired of trying to get thing ready now.
I'm literally so close to starting it and this one bit has completely stalled getting it going.
Has anyone got a spare return feed from an OEM turbo I can buy?

I'm beyond frustrated at this point.
Today, I had @campbellju come and help get the car closer than ever before started.
We put oil in it, turned it over to build oil pressure.
Added coolant, but found a leak.
Parts have been orderd to fix.
Hopefully, we attempt to start up the car for the 1st time in 9 years (in about 2 weeks time)!
