Igntion timming problems - help -

Okay Ive tried to check my timing, I explain what I done:

put a small white mark on the 2nd mark on the bottom pulley ( 0 degree mark) you can input how many degress you want to set it to on my timming gun hence why I marked 0 degree indicator

connected up timming light up, put sensor on cyclinder 1.

Aimed the strode at the pulley with the engine running, and theres no mark

dont know why I cant see any marks! could it being retarded for some reason?

any help much appreciated

I guess it's possible the pulley could have moved slightly on the rubber damper that's fitted. I've heard this can happen and that would move the outer part of the pulley, so that the timing marks would be meaningless :?

Yes mate you were correct, there was a crack all around the rubber, which had caused it to move round! At least its an easy fix
