ignition wires

need to no what all the wires in the ignition are by colour preferably behind the steering wheel cover/dash ,so i can wire some gauges in , or just what colour are the live and earth wires as thats all i need for now

am i to assume that there is red and black wires for the respective live and earth or are they different

yes. if you are unsure use a multimeter.

ok mate thats great wanted to ask you guys as some cars iv had in the past have had orange earth wires and black live ones ,
