Good information Mark.
It should be ok then to swap the disks from left to right (providing the disk does not have curved vanes) and have the grooves pointing forward. I'm going to point mine forward to improve braking and clean the pad dust and dirt away from the calliper.
While I was working on brakes yesterday, I cleaned up the rear brakes / disks and cut grooves in the disks at the same angle and direction to the front. Guess I'll have to shift them left to right as well...:doh:
