If it was static how would it work as a cooler ?? as a plumber i was taught to remove all dead legs from a system better to have a loop than two dead legs
do as you please, but it very clear on the workshop manual. Blocking them will not disrupt the flow of the coolant.

Scroll up and find post #23. On post #23 find the text starting with "http" . Using the mouse, hover over it and click on it. This should open another browser window. In the new browser window, you should see 2 images. The lower image is what you should look at. It is a flow diagram of the coolant system. Look very sharp and towards the left you should see a box with text "Oil Cooler"

If you need any other help, please let me know :)

Yeah, and arrows showing the coolant flow in and out of it (from the cylinder block into the pump)? Also, if you go to the previous page in the manual there's quite clearly a flow direction marked for the SR20DE cooler. - I admit it doesn't show any flow for the SR20DET one, but I don't see how it would work if it didn't flow through the cooler.

Here's something I might have missed:

Where can you get the core pieces for the adapter for the sending unit (the parts shown in post #2)? Not the actual cooler, but the parts that attach to the stock cooler to send and receive the oil to the aftermarket cooler. Thanks; and awesome work!
