Well thats "only" £1848 a year then
Yes and?? Its a traders policy so I can drive any other car, plus the GTIR is fully comp with agreed value. Now what would I rather pay £1500 for a 1.2 Corsa or £1848 for a traders policy with my R down as my main car fully comp???

Anyways, yes ok I did do alot of driving about in the first week I had it to show my uncle etc (who stays 30 miles away).

I didnt use the R from monday to saturday, so after work on sat took it down to the garage and stuck £20 V-Power in it, took it for a run up to peterhead and back and was shocked when I got back with a quarter tank of fuel. not bad for £20 IMO!

Had the car out after work tonight and had someone come up to me while i was washing it telling me how nice a car it was etc.

Its booked in to be mapped then off to have the tiny spots of rust sorted over xmas

Untill it goes off to the bodyshop its going to sit on the g/fs driveway under a car cover i think.

More than I'd pay, I'v got an agreed value, track cover etc for less than 600... but I expect I'm older

Who's that with mate? Thinking of getting a more specialised cover for the R. PM me if you want rather than clog this (already strayed) thread. ;)

To be honest mate think you will struggle to get the £5k for it just now, if you hold off then you should get something near that price the start of next year.

I have ran that road many times in my Evo & GTi-R but never use that much fuel so you must have gave it some amount of boost ;) Just joking mate.

Who is mapping your car for you & what bodyshop you using? Kintore bodyshop has done most of my wok for me so far & I use Wallace Perfoamce up here for all the maping car work.

Anyway good luck with the sale.

whats the score with this car? its got a very good spec? alough no one seems to want to give it a home for more than 5mins:doh:
or is it a case of young laddos buying it before insurance quotes.

Just looked on here by chance. Poor thing i dont understand it its had more owners in the past 3 and a half months than in its life i think that must be the 5th one selling it now. It certinaly dosent have 400bhp! It was 301 when i had it in november, i gave that car a good home and spent a good amount on it tidying it, cage bukets etc.
Was offered it back but been there done that...

it was a nice car when you had it and certainly looked like it was well kept and looked after.

so was there any issues with it when you sold it?

None it was running perfectly, 2007 it needed its handbrake adjusted for its mot. 2008 it needed rear brakepipes as where they werent protected by the overcooated were corroded in a tiny area.
I only sold it as was wanting a change. Its not my car now but i feel its a shame nobodys taken it on and loved it, maybe people keep buying it and not realising fuel and insurance costs?
