ideal road car power

If and when I sell the current R AND Im stupid enough to ever buy a new gtir it wouldnt be with the 3071. Dont ge me wrong: its awesome with 450+hp but its just not as drivable as my old R with standard set-up. Id probably go for the 2871 instead. Faster spool-up times would be preferable but a bit more grunt that the standard tubby can spit out.

Turbo's are not the only cause for drivability. There are lots of other factors too which can help or hinder the performance of the turbo.

I used to have a GT3071, running higher compression than normal and that was very good on the road.

The problem with bhp is that when you drive a car with less power than you have had previously, it never feels the same.

Personally, I like the Scooby Clinic GT3071 turbo with .63 exhaust housing. If I wanted a fast road car, I would probably use that one.
