How to remove / refit Turbo

The worse part of the head removal is removing the inlet manifold. The rest is plain sailing :)

any tips on removing the timing chain and belts? im worried about this part and messing up the timing.

Before removing the cams , turn the crank shaft pulley until you have crank shaft pulley aligned on TDC mark, timing chain marks are alligned with DOT on the cam sprockets.

You need to end up with crank pulley at TDC, inlet cam sprocket at around 10 o'clock and exhaust at 12 with the timing chain marking aligned with the DOT on the sprocket. Its takes a while (turning) to get everything aligned.

Thanks for the step by step guide- was very useful. dont suppose you have a similar guide on how to remove the cams and ensure that the timing isnt affected when removing the head.
