It's reversion and turbulence, it is very common and is asked about alot just sort the z32 out and run it blow thru and it stops all the problems..fudging the map in the aem,turning the idle up etc is just masking the problem, on another note your spark plugs should not be black either no matter what that is rich running and a bad thing to do.............as in bore wash and filling the oil with petrol (which can and does cause big end/main bearing failure) leading to oil film breakdown.

im not talking borewash amounts. what afr should WOT be, i read 11.2 on, which is allowing some slight overrfuel to help cooling, lean cruise 14-16, idle ~13. but anyhoos. blowthrough, sell the z32 and get a cheaper ford lightning maf imho.
