Scott,

I think Russ at Wallace Performance (Aberdeen) may be able to work on the AEM but im not 100% sure. You could always phone them to check 01224 708444.

I know the Denist does Motec but he may be able to do AEM.

Would you need to keep the stock EGO or does the wideband over ride this?

What about set-up regards MAF's MAP sensors and injectors easy enough to change settings?
Cheers for the feedback and advice.
I feel a bit like a woman trying to decide on a pair of shoes at this moment in time  .
I could spend £1000 + sensors etc on the AEM ECU or £250 + harnesses, sensors, software for the emanage ultimate.

Another niggle is the following statement for the AEM ECU:
"EMS systems with a built-in UEGO controller will not support a digital display gauge."
What do you use to visually monitor the A/F ratio?
Don't fancy having a laptop on the dash:shock: .

JPWARD had a couple of questions to:
Would you need to keep the stock EGO or does the wideband over ride this?
What about set-up regards MAF's MAP sensors and injectors easy enough to change settings?

I need to make my mind up soon.

BTW, does my ass look big in this...     ;-)

AEM ems without Uego, you can use any other a/f gauge.

On my Supra i use AEM 6 in 1 Uego wide band controller, which is wired to AEM ecu as well.

Cheers Ash,

The 6 in 1 AEM Gauge Type Wideband UEGO Controller is on my shopping list.
In that case make sure you get the AEM ECU without Uego and it cheeper.

Who can supply, install & map a MOTEC system for me then?

I'm in the Central Scotland area!

Cost is not an issue for something this important!!!

Well the first thing I'll say is don't let anybody in Scotland try and fit a Motec for you, Because I've found all tuners in Scotland to be pretty much hopeless when it comes to the Motec system   , Their is probably only 3 company's that I would recommend, And they are Owen Developments/Power Station and Roger Clark Motor Sport.

Their is one other guy that used to work for Motec but I can't remember his name  , But it is very very important that the system is fitted and mapped by someone that knows their stuff.

I just don't trust any of the Scottish tuners to get it right   .

Wallace can do an OK job of mapping mine but it's still no where near as good a job as power station did when they first fitted and mapped it, It lacks finesse in the part throttle department if you know what I mean.

Getting back to the AEM EMS... I'm looking at peripherals and wondering if I should include a MAP sensor kit or stick with MAF.
They also do a boost controller kit but do not understand the benifits of it.

Seen on an American site they said the AVC-R is better but id say it had more to do with user/tuner and not many people about who can tune these bloody things in the UK NONE at all over here :?

Cheers JP.
It's 75 quid but do not think it will make a very pretty ornament...
I've been researching it and thinks is best suited for forced induction.
It could give another dimension to tunning the EMS though... :?
