Well that didn't last long (clutch)

Helix organic in my rally car. Full boost off the start line on slicks on a warm day will make it slip. So I don't.
Been fine in all other situations.

Yes it was a brand new helix friction plate supplied, the rps cover was reused as I though it would have a higher clamping force than a helix one so hold more torque.
Not sure what clutch I'll get yet. At the moment it's not urgent as it's only full boost in 5th. I'll start looking now and get one for when it gets worse.

I have a good used paddle clutch it's either ap or helix if interested, light to use but fierce if you are not used to them.

I think I'd rather stick to organic thanks Danny. I can just see me back ending the car in front in the rush hour.

Used the RPS clutch heavy on the foot takes a bit of getting used to in traffic did keep stalling it lol. Had it on for a while until the spring broke inside the clutch plate. Now have a act clutch fitted 6 puk If I remember rightly its the same as the RPS in drivability a lot stronger than the RPS and its taken a bit of abuse, when the car has been on the road lol

Strongly sprung clutches give your crank thrusts and hydraulics a hard time. Something to keep in mind!

id suggest a change of flywheel and clutch tbh.

ive always hated the feel of rps and act clutches.

for your power you could use an ap racing organic 200sx clutch. just use the gtir release bearing as ed says.

I've got a Helix organic clutch which has been pretty well abused, launched and WOT shifting on the limiter. Not too heavy in traffic and car parks, for me anyway. Seemed to holding up pretty well, second friction plate the covers seen too. I make well under the rated torque though and always get the flywheel refaced. I run a standard flywheel as well, they carry more inertia so feel a little less urgent, harder to stall.
