I fitted mine when i done my head gasket their, while engine was still in car, and as martin says, you will spend more time fighting with hoses and the plugs on the sensors, just trying to get them off, so you get enough to move the plenum back, so you can get it off the head.
While the inlet is off, you can do away with the heater circuit in it and block the other pipes off, that way its easier to get it all back together with no hassles.

no offence to the people that have already posted in this thread, but this is NOT a 1 hour job.
ive removed and refitted enough manifolds to be able to speak from experience.

i would budget for 2-3 hours davey

Without the Y bracket on the back of the engine it can be done in an hour easily, thats how long it took me when i fitted my thermal gasket ;-)

But with all those brackets on the back of the inlet it does take ages to get off :doh:
