Slotted brake disc confusion.

Just bought a set of slotted discs for my R and trying to find the correct
direction for the slots when fitting them.
Searching on the net has made me confused as different people recomend
different directions.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Some pictures would be great.

when you say slotted do you mean grooves if so then it doesnt matter but most people run them with the grooves going backwards

Yes, it is grooves I am thinking about, I know some motorsport people
that claim it to make quite a difference, but I have no experience with this.

when i fitted my hispecs it states on the instructions they recommend grooves going front to rear but it then states it doesnt make any difference!!

fit them this way m8, caliper is the front side of the car

That does make sense - as the disk spins the pads will pull dust etc out of the groove towards the edge.
