slight clutch grinding noise!

hello,

another thing iv noticed is that on idle (well thats the only time i can hear it due to the noise levels of the car ) is that u can hear a grinding/scratching ish noise and when u de-press the clutch past half way (biting point) it vanishes and as soon as u lift it comes back.

is it my clutch slightly engaged or something?

what could be up with it?

could it be that iv used cheap oil in it for the time being?

the box was fine before this engine was put in, no problems with it at all.

might be thrust bearing on the clutch or the first gear input shaft bearing

mines doing the same thing, sounds like a right bag of nails :lol: but i really cant be @rsed with it :roll:

Thrust Bearing id say by the description of the noise etc. Not a good job, you may as well replace all the bearings etc and do a full inspection of the gearbox while your at it, thats if it gets really bad. :?
