do a compression test though before you whip the head off as it will tell you a lot, dont just pull it off without carrying out a few basic checks first, but if the plug is oiled up on that cylinder then you know for sure that its more than likely cracked a ringland or damaged piston.
providing the bore is still good then youll get away with a quick hone and chuck another piston in it
