no worries mate

do a compression test though before you whip the head off as it will tell you a lot, dont just pull it off without carrying out a few basic checks first, but if the plug is oiled up on that cylinder then you know for sure that its more than likely cracked a ringland or damaged piston.
providing the bore is still good then youll get away with a quick hone and chuck another piston in it

right been to pick my new nightmare up today did about 100 miles when i noticed smoke when the bov released drove a bit more and it started missing so i pulled over and rang :boby:roadside assist and he talked me though some checks and he figured out that no3 piston has given up :doh: so looks like head off tomorrow and see the damage but for the money i paid im still smiling just lol thanks again bob

I wonder if this is what bob will find on my engine when i give it to him? Mine was down on compression on piston 3, did you do a test? If so what was your results?

can you let me know regarding whats happening with that head as engines ready to be fully assembled by next week and i dont want it sitting round in bits for ages, thats when bits have a habit of hiding themselves:lol:

Well got her back together and she fired first try there was a slight miss fire but sorted had her running on the drive foe about 2 hours and went for a spin got 5 miles away and she just cut out no miss fire nothing just died lol any ideas
