Rear calipers same as Gti?

A bit confused: Are the rear gtir calipers the same as the gti ones? Does anybody know any code written on the gtir caliper so that i can compare it to a gti one?

I'm pretty sure they are as, they take the same pads iirc ?!

Part numers are different as Dave says, but in the manual the specs are the same for the rear brakes between DE and DET (that's the UK SR20DE at least, I think the jap one is 1800?)

the disks are different in some way and the calliper mounts in front of the hub so opposite the pulsars but they may still be the same.

The disks are different for sure, because somebody tried to fit a set of gti disks to his gtir and they wouldnt fit. The calipers must be the same but their brackets are different and that why their P/N arent the same i suppose..

The reason i am asking is that i ve traced a brand new set of rear gti calipers, but they ll do either way because i just want to take their shiny pistons to replace mine. There is always a chance that i m sooo unlucky that even the gti/gtir pistons are different, but lets hope not :-D !

:doh: Thanx for the tip.. Nissan charges about 55GBP for each piston .
