'R rad's have the inlet at the bottom, and the outlet at the top right?...

Is there any particular reason for this? or would i be OK to use a rad where the inlet is at the top, and outlet at the bottom?

no. hot coolant goes in at the top, cools, and comes out at the bottom.#

you were wrong then buddy! thermostat stops the flow through the rad.

I just thought that once the thermostat opened, it let it enter the rad at the bottom and pulled it out through the top like, not the other way round.

it's the foofoo valve that stops the flow :doh: not the thermostat

nah its the other way round, takes all the hot coolant from the engine head/block cools it in rad.

then circulates it back into rear of engine and through the pump again.

foofoo valve is only fitted to the nismo edition pulsars numbnuts
