Has anyone had their power steering pump Rebuilt? Mines gone noisey so it is time to get it looked at.

PS, for what it's worth my second hand one is still working now. Must be the best part of 10years down the line now.

I am told it is five hours work to swap out the pump and it is not something I can do myself, any second hand one needs to be in good nick as this is going to cost. Jon have you got a decent used one? if so cost?

I don't think it took me that long, but it's that long ago now, I'm struggling to remember. The hardest bit form what I remember was getting the damn thing out of the gap in the wheel arch.

I was told by my local motorfactors who can get brakes , starters, alts etc rebuilt but not my power steering pump. I just said ok and fitted a working secondhand one. Had a spare so never asked the reason
