Powder Coating Bits..

Ive got a plenum, fuel rail and a rocker cover that i want to get powder coated for a project im building up at the moment and was wondering how you guys usually do it. I went to a place that powder coats wheels the other day and they've told me i need to cover the faces where the gaskets usually go as other wise they wont seal properly afterwards. Also they cant put the rocker cover in their oven due to all the black silicone stuff that's on the back of it.

Any ideas guys?

there just being lazy, any decent place would mask these off for you.

the rocker cover is a touchy area as the grit used to sandblast before coating can sometimes get lodged in the oil seperater section and be released into the engine

Cheers martyn, guess il just have to find someone who will do the lot then....

There must be a way of stopping the grit from even getting into the oil seperator section in the rocker cover?
