Over Fueling!!

Hi Guys

I just mannaged to start my R up after about 3 months of fitting a new engine!!
When it starts it over fuels and you can smell a bit of petrol, and it also blows out white smoke!! can this be from the ECU!! ive been told to go and get it set-up!! does anyone know why this happens??

just check see if your plugs are sutted up

olso check for air leaks etc

The ECU doesn't tend to give out smells or smoke, so probably not.:nerner:

You could always check the MAF out. It may not like sitting for 3 months:?

Is it smoking everytime you start? If so it could be something like the valve stem oil seals/valve guides leaking.

Was it a newly rebuilt engine or just one you bought off someone?
