Well, I've got more confidence now that there's new metal welded in - actually the ARB mount was always solid, it was just the box section behind it that was damaged.

there you go then,just dont put anything on the thin tin shite behind the arb mount, that arb mount is also part of the wishbone mount's too so if that lot is rusty and weak the car should be scrapped

I always jack mine up from the front engine support bar. Thats what my bash plate is bolted on to and it has a perfect little nobble to lock the cup of the jack on to.
