It is ok at the location ?

My driver side brake duct is fitted with Power Steering Oil cooler

i dont want to put on the oil cooler top of the engine

left only choice is passenger brake duct area

you think it ok to put that area ?
since i might use oil relocation kit as well
so the hose will be extra long

I don't see why not fitment wise, I just wander if you want warm air going to the brakes rather than cold that you'd get if the cooler wasn't their.

You could always put it in front of the rad.

an other problen i can see with fitting it down there is if you run a front mount intercooler like the hybird one the pipe will get in the way as they you need to remove the brake air ducts to fit.

Thats what ive always wondered, more than likely they were put there in some kind of vain effort to make the crap standard brakes slightly less crap...................didnt work though

Maybe because the rally car had bigger more efficient brakes they didnt have to worry about sticking the oil cooler infront the brake duct!

There are no brake ducts as such, someone posted a cutaway picture of the Rally R. It just has vents where the wheel arch liner is on our car. Mine was broken at the bottom in its past life which does a similar job to vents :)

my problem as well i cannot fit front mount at radiator side
since i have fitted FWIN 36mm aluminium radiator

and my FMIC is designed without cutting the bumper at all
hench you can see i need to relocate my power steering cooler to driver side

the only way i can think is passenger side

for brake i dont think i will have any issue
if any issue i just do a brake duct hose point to my brake as well to the cooler

camp
i see the pic
look like rally spec is located at passenger side for ( rhd drive car )

I fitted my oil cooler on the os of the bumper between the duct and cut out for the front mount. I cut a hole and fitted an extractor vent in it.

To mount it on the passenger side looks pretty far.
Worried there will be a slight drop in oil pressure.
Mine is located on the driver side, brake vents.
