Oil cannister from turbo oil feed...?

I'll be under the car at the weekend to check exactly where it goes. I've only removed the radiator so far and done nothing else so will check soon!

What is this 54c business?

It just tell you its a gtir block.

The fact it actually fits in the engine mounts gives that away though...

It's probably meant to be an oil accumulator, but I suspect there's nothing fancy about it; probably it was just meant to keep oil going into the turbo after the engine has gone off.
