OE pressure/boost sensor, can it be removed?

Hi there

I'd like to know if I can trash the OE boost sensor that is attached to the passenger side of the engine bay? I'm running a PowerFC with a MAP sensor for boost pressure / AVC-R.

Is it just for the gauge in the center console or is it used by the ECU?

Yes, you can ditch it. It only feeds the gauge in the dashboard, and the car will run fine without it.
