misfiring and allsorts

started car fine drove to missus wrk 5mins away sat outside for approx 5 mins revs dropped bout 5-600 rpm started poppin n coughin didn't want to know when i put the gas on to raise the revs eventually died on me and wouldn't re start for about 1/2 n hr any ideas could the rain have caused this ????

Have you checked for water anywhere it shouldn't be ???

yea had a look but couldn't see any think still got top mount on though connections looked ok

Try in the spark plug holes...!

Maybe the rain hadn't got in there till you'd driven for a bit. It's not definitely the plugs, but I'd certainly start there if I were you.

Has it started since?
It could be something like a loose/broken rotor arm/distributer/cap. HT leads arcing out. Fuel pump failure. ECU failure (unlikely) relays for ecu or fuel pump failing. Blocked fuel filter, water in the fuel tank. Water in the plug well, but unlikely to cut out completely I'd have thought. CAS playing up. Ignition amp faulty.
Alarm/immobiliser playing up.
