Genreally it means arguing the toss over the meaning of words rather than the context... no it doesn't... yes it does etc etc ;-)

What you wrote could be argued to be technically correct but read it another way and you're wrong. It comes down to the meaning of the word "piggyback"

Is it possible to take a copy of the mines chip, and just replace the mainchip in the standard ECU? Or do you need the daugterborad?

You can copy the ROM fairly easily, then just load it onto an EPROM or two, on a daughterboard !
