A hose split and was down on power. He could have made it back to the pits but some of the cars were on a hot lap so he would have got in their way and probably been penalised.

Ah that explains that one then. Any reason behind the softly softly approach between gearchanges, as I said before it just seemed as if he was losing so much time compared to others because of it, just interested if there was a specific issue or whether it was a case of gearbox preservation after the 1st round escapades?

Craig couldn't sort his box out in time so I let him borrow mine. Dave's very capable of changing quicker but didn't want to risk breaking it so took it a little easy.

Thats a positive then as there was plenty of time to be found there. I guessed it would be something like that as he was giving it death through the twisties and on the brakes but it just seemed very pedestrian on gearchanges, but that makes sense if the box wasnt his to break!

Brands Hatch is next so hopefully with a bit more power, he will hopefully move up the leaderboard.
