knock sensor testing

hi guys as title, whilst looking over the engine before i get round to putting it back in i noticed that the knock sensor has a small crack in the plastic cover so i was just wandering if there is any TEST to check its ok.

Are you a member on the modifiers club? If so

However if its been dropped and cracked you should replace it.

a majority of them are cracked but this does not mean they are not working fine!
do the ohms test and that will tell you, ignore the cracks.

weve got some in that look almost new but they dont come up to scratch when tested, yet others that look worse for wear have perfect readings

hi guys.

ive just metred my knock sensor and am getting a reading of about 0.5 of a ohmn. not sure what it should be because it tells me how to test it in the online workshop manual but doesn't give me any figures, anyone know if this is okay. cheers neil.
