Installing a new clutch

Hi Guys and Gals,

I've searched through the forum looking for a how to clutch installation. Seeing as I poped mine last wednesday it's looking like the appropriate time to install the one under my bed.

I'm doing it at home. And was wondering if there is anyway to do it rather than pulling the motor out? I also have to replace the rear main seal and steering rack at the same time.

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

Your best bet is to do a search until some of the more techy people get on. There's definitely a way to do it without removing the engine completely (I think you just drop in on one of the mounts IIRC) but they'll be able to confirm it for you.

You can take the gearbox out of the car with the engine still in place rather than taking the full lot out.

I don't have an Idea of the best way to go about it but Im sure if you pay Odin to come across he could do all the work for you  ;)
