i got mine cleaned at a local Lucas injector place, they charged me full price of £17

its running fine ian, getting myself a boost pressure sensor for the emanage then getting edd to do some final tweeking, and should be running sweet as.

This is what I usually use ASNU ... company that makes the flow bench machine has a really good database of all the peoples in your area who have one of their machine. I just found the closest person to me and called them up. Charged me about the same price $15 per injector.

Sorry to sound thick, but which currency is that; AU$ or US$ (I appreciate it could also be SG$ or similar)?

I only ask because US$15 is currently about £9.50, and that seems like really good value!

Admittedly I haven't tried to take mine out, but they seems to move freely in my fuel rail... or maybe that just means the seals have gone.

As others have said, na, easy.
If you have a front mount intercooler, easier.
Without the intercooler in the way, disconnect the two fuel lines, one on the Fuel pressure regulator and the other on a pipe.
Remove the 4 bolts holding the rail and gently wiggle and lift the rail.
Sometimes the injectors will come out still attached to the rail, sometimes 1 or 2 might stick in the throttle body.
Be careful that no muck drops into the injector hole, so as soon as the injectors are out cover or plug the holes.
If you are having them cleaned and flow tested get a seal kit (with baskets and pintles included) installed as well and they will be almost like new.
If I missed anything please fill in the steps.

PS. When installing injectors with new seals, they may be tight, so they just need to be gently massaged into the rail and the throttle body.

Just sent my injectors to this company today. £12.5 per injector but special delivery there and back is an additional £15. Email response was really quick, hopefully the turnaround will be too.

They came back today which means they must have been serviced and re-posted the same day. Excellent service.

Before cleaning:
1. 96cc
2. 94cc
3. 95cc
4. 93cc

After cleaning:
1. 98cc
2. 97cc
3. 97cc
4. 97cc

The cc rating equates to 50% load for 15 seconds. If you multiple by x8 then it's just short of 800cc which is what the injectors are rated at.

The injectors wen't in a bad shape but the variance has improved from 3% to 1% from the cleaning. The filters and pintle caps were replaced too.

Overall very happy, the injectors should be more consistent and proving their performance gives peace of mind so I can eliminate them from any troubleshooting issues.
