ignition timing question

im trying to setup the ignition timing, but am having difficulties cos i cant get the car to idle below 1500rpm.

is there any way i can get the correct timing correct at this rpm?? or a way i can drop the rpm?? i have adjusted the idle control screw all the way in.

i just wanna get it spot on so i dont bugger the car up.

any info gratefully appreiciated.

Check that you haven't lost one of the nipples across the throttle body...

You ideally want the revs @ 1200 or less...

have no air leaks, throttle bodies are all ok.

if i set the timing where it is on this idle it lacks power up the road

i also had this problem, i just set the timing so it ran fine, but i had an idle of 1,500rpm ive since changed the idle control valve and found an air leak or 2 and its now back down to around 1,100rpm
