Help with tow eye part no.

I bought a new tow eye cover last year from my local nissan dealer and ive only just come to painting and fitting it and its the wrong size its too wide!!!:evil:

The part number is 62228 73C00

Ive done a search and the part number in the FAQ section is 62228 54C04

So what the hell did the dumb bastid at nissan give me???
and is it a bit too late to get a refund???

Any help would be much appreciated!!

3HB. (GA16DE+SR20DE) + 5HB.SR20DE From Euro RHD FAST

Yes he is a numpty.
To get that number he had to scroll down to number 6 on the list, the first 5 being GTIR on the JAP version and SR20DET (Gtir obviously) on the Euro version.

The first 5 are various colour versions.


(4S=4door saloon, 3HB 3door hatchback and 5HB=5door hatchback)

You've got the bit for the N14 versions listed. ie the 4 door saloon with those engines, the 3door hatch with those engines and the 5 door hatch, BUT NOT the GTIR

You could try them, but I doubt they would. They'll give you some bullshit about it being an import and your responsibility if the parts are wrong.
Allthough if you asked for the GTIR (SR20DET) part and they had to scroll past 5 of them to get to the wrong one, I don't know how they could claim that.
