HELP!!! No Brakes

Has anyone got any ideas why my brakes don't want to work??

I've checked the calipers to see is they were sticking but all seem OK. The discs and pads are near new and theres no faults with the ABS.

When breaking hard the brake peddle seems to go solid after a few inches of travel but nothing much happens. I can feel the car brake but it takes ages to stop. Not what you'd expect when apply so much force to the brake peddel. When breaking gradually there appears to be more travel in the brake peddle but the result is t pretty much the same

Anyone got any ideas???

it sounds like you've got the same problem as Dooie

sounds like you got abs problems, Reluctor rings, look like little castle type rings around the cv joint may be broken. take your abs fuses out and see if it fixs the problem. Abs is rubbish on these cars.
