Help : Broken Clutch Pedal Bracket.

Can anyone give sum advice please. I'll try & explain as best I can.

The bracket form the bulk head that conects to the top of the clutch pedal bracket has snapped clean through. There is also a crack in the backin of the pedal bracket.

What can I do, is this a weakness?

Any help would be great.

this is something that happens to 99% of R's mine did it and we just used a length of metal and some big nuts and bolts to hold it as in the how to guide on the gtir homepage.

Ive fixed a couple of these now, if its broken in the same way you need to take the pedalbox and speedo out and reweld it

It sounds like this needs the box reinforced aswell as the pedal bracket :roll: although you should fit one of Steves brackets aswell eh

If the pedal bracket has come off the bulkhead it's far too late for Steve Pudney's bracket. The best method is to weld the pedal bracket back up, most people take the dashboard out to do so (not entirely necessary).

Cheers for the advice, we've already made up a bracket & bolted it on, pity as I imagine Steve's would do a better job. Gonna try n get other bits welded. It is drivable now but feels real shitty
