Heater hose diameter

I'm hoping to install an in-line coolant heater for these next winter months. This heater uses the heater core hoses to heat the coolant when the engine is cold, helping on cold starts.

Before I go cutting into these hoses, can anybody tell me the inside diameter of the hose?
