Front Brakes in the Rear?

Hello guys,
i met a lad who's rallying a Gr.A GTi-R the other day and he claimed having the standard spec front brakes in the rear. Can that really be done? If yes does anybody knows how difficult is it? I already have two front hubs with calipers and everything which with a bit of diy can be spinning again...

there is a thing called brake bias. Larger rear calipers wont help braking as they only do about 10% of it anyway. How ever if you upgrade the front calipers you might want to upgrade the rear to keep a standard like brake bias ratio.
