Evo is 380bhp it runs 1.7 Bar on a Motec M800Pro ECU with 1000cc RC Injectors. It has a Full Stainless Exhaust including Downpipe and Apexi Induction Kit. It also has a large FMIC and an Exedy Twin Plate Clutch. As you can tell from the clip, he had his ALS on.

Escort is a 1.6 with 28psi steel rods etc.

makes me miss my series 1

my mate has a series 2 with 2.0 zvh 251 bhp and that come past my pulsar and my evo on the motorway but at the end of the day ,off the mark by the time hes got traction ive already been out and got home

Who would have thought. If I had stuck some steel rods in mine Fiesta RS and run 28PSI mine would have been even quicker. Gutted I didnt think of it :(

AH i recognise that now, he part runs APT with gary, i was chatting to him while gary was mapping my safcII, when i was talking to him he was going for top speed, and i think that is garys evo8 aswell. cool well done.

How comes the Evo has the FQ-400 fins on the back if it's only 380bhp

Clearly isnt a FQ-400 as they have a top speed of 175mph which is faster than the 165mph the Escort finished on?

tbh is not realy a fair match is it an 850 kilo car running say 28 psi of boost vrs a 1600 kilo car running 22 psi ish evo to 130 killed it who realy needs to go 165 around townand on back roads the rs would be left for dead....

and dnt say that im sticking up for the evo cos i own one.. because a own a series one rsturbo aswell now so i have both...

That isn't a fq400 it's just a tuned evo 7 with the fq400's hedgehog spolier on the roof :wink:
Got to admire the work gone into the escort 8) and also got to think whats the point really, as the evo clearly wastes it until well over 140mph :? evo probably cost less to build aswell :shock:
Still would be funny seeing the evo drivers face as the escort flies by though :lol:

Awesome vid, reminds me of my old 272bhp Series 1, third gear onwards in that thing and noone could touch you! Off the line was a joke though!
