engine gone bang

i decided to drive mr R through france spain and into portugal,all good was there for 3 weeks and done alot of night street racing on an 11 mile bridge but during 1 day before i was due to drive back engine went pop sounds like big end bearing definatly a piston loose and knocking away like anything vehicle currently being towed back by the aa and when it gets here obviously it requires major heart surgery,now that the [:(!][xx(]engine will be taken apart does anybody please have any suggestions as to mods i can do once engine is apart

Depends what you want to do and how much damage has been done. Forged pistons for definite, cams (HKS, Tomei etc) and ARP rod bolts. The rest is pretty strong from factory.

and thanks just worried that if there any thing that can be done while its apart i might aswell do it

nope i didnt abuse it to death and i love my R too,i knew i had a 1500 mile trip to do to get back to the uk so i was always carfull never to thrash it,

does anyone know where i can get high performace parts for my R pls
