Modern after-market ECUs can do full time closed loop too. The aim is to build up a correction map/value to the main one table, but it takes a while to establish and you have to give them boundaries to stay within. To get this working right however the main maps have to be good. Don't be fooled it would be capable of doing the mapping for you.

This is exactly what I wanted to do, work from a good base map but use my circuit to correct it slightly on a real-time basis to try and keep to the correct AFR's. Obviously I won't be trying to keep it at 14.7:1 though now lol.
Or even something that says 'shit you are going really lean here and i need to step in and A. adjust fueling or B. knock down the boost slightly (using another solanoid off the output of my current Apexi one).
