det sensor

has anyone had the det sensor play up and make the car run poo but not show up on a fault code check?where is the sensor on the block so i can try another one?

its right up the back of the engine underneath the inlet plenum. little black thing with a plug on and one wire going to it. problem is if you still have the y bracket on the back of the engine this has to come off to even get to see it

how easy is it to get the y bracket off?

Its quite easy to do if you can dislocate your shoulder, wrist and fingers first :evil: :evil: :lol:

How much does one of these det sensor cost. They come up quite often i am thinking of changing before i go back on the road.

i just got one on ebay for £28 so ill put it on when i get it and see if it fixes it.
