Decision to make on brake, rim and tyre

need some opinion on brake, rim and tyre


Option 1.
Massive Brake System
Consist Porsche 996 Non Turbo Front and Rear on
Front 325 x 30mm and rear 294 x 24 mm rotor size

Rim 17" Volk Racing TE37
Tyre Cheapo tyre like nankang 215 x 40
cannot afford the expensive 17"

Option 2
Willwood 4 pot on 276 x 24 mm rotor
Rear i think 280 x 10mm

Rim Volk 15 Racing TE37
Tyre Performance tyre like F1, Neova so on expensive 15" on 205 x 50 size

What is the main use of the car going to be? Trackdays, 1/4 sprints, fast road?

Otion 4, 7x16s with a 215/40/16 and slightly smaller big brakes.

You can afford Volk Te37s (at least £3-350 per corner here)
Porsche brakes £1000+ at a guess??

but you can't afford decent tyres to stop you killing yourself when your brakes lock up and you skid off the road?:frusty:

nuff said. You dont need porche brakes, a good hi spec, willwood 310mm setup for less than a grand would be good, and save the rest on good tyres, there the only thing keepin u in contact with the road !!

Why would you have a larger disc at the back than the front?

Err the car mostly will be weekly car and once a while will be on track
i think maybe once a year

i think majority prefer to have better tyre option whatever brake size i choose

i forget to list current brake spec
Nissan 4 pot matched with AP rotor 305mm x 28
rear is stock
Matched with Advan TC 16"

my AP is wrapped so thinking to upgrade it as well
and i have my por caliper from ebay with super great deal
USD 500 for front and back only

so thinking to utilise the porsche brake as well

If your not using the car for dragging then get yourself some 17" and the biggest brakes (bell & rotor) as possible.

The Porsche set up would look 8)

since GTiR is Rare car at my country ,
so not going to abuse it at all

Please don't skimp on the tyres.........
