de-limiter problems

From what other people have said I think I have a problem with my de-limiter as the car won't go past about 125ish and backs off violently. Anyone know how and where to check this? Is it likely to be faulty wiring or something simple? cheers

Its usually a little black box spliced into the wiring behind the Speedo / Tacho clocks.

You'll need to take the dash out then clocks out to get at it.

It's not too big a job.

I guess the only thing you can do is check all the wires are still connected - not sure how you could test it.

Has this just started happening or has it always done it?

Not sure, have only ever taken the car that fast a couple of times and it's done it both times... cheers for the help

What does your speedo read to?

You used to be able to get hold of convertors without delimiter... i.e. ur speedo would read in mph but you could still only go to 112mph (or somewhere there abouts!).

my speedo isnt the best, (and has been delimited) just used an apexi unit to sort that out :lol: :lol: as it delimits it too
