clutch master cylinder?

hi lads, was driving sat when my clutch pedal hit the floor and stayed there.. had fluid pissing out of a little tube/pipe, whatever it is on the gearbox,,got towed to my door,,luckily i had just left the house,, is it the master cylinder that i need to replace??

If its on the gear box its the slave cylinder if its the pipe then hose solutions would be the place to buy one.

I picked one up from a Clutch/Brake specialist, it was a Blueprint part so i imagine you can get them from most motor factors. Slave is really simply to replace, the hose can be a bit of a paint to get off, i made it easier by removing the airbox.

I also heeded the advice of some on here, and gravity bled the clutch, it worked alot better than the times before when i had done the pump method.

cheers lads,,hose is fine,,got slave for 55 at local parts store, al b giving it a go shortly. thanx for the info ,the help is appreciated

wel lads,,no joy,, changed cylinder, the lad that helped bleed it reckons it could be the thrust bearing, cant seem to get the pedal to return,, what do you think??
