Clutch Master Cylinder - HELP!!

Last night - drove out, and found this strange metal sort of squeaking noise, then found that i only had a clutch at the first 1-2 Inches coming up from the floor, then the rest of the pedal was all spongy, and didn't always want to return to the top.

Then sitting at the lights, with the clutch pressed on the floor, the car started to try and pull away!!

I spoke to Mike (ex-gtir) and he said it sounds like the Master Cylinder??

What do i have to do to fix this? Anyone got any ideas???

I think Curtis did a 'How-To' in Yahoogroups some time ago,
try searching this forum and yahoo for it,
but I hear its not the most straight forward of jobs....easy enough but a bit wiggley! :?

I think it may be the Slave unit which should be fairly easy - it's quite common apparently!

I did do a howto with several ways to tackle this job, I think it was in this section rather than the actual "howto" section though. How a search and you should find it.
