Hello people, one of the seals needs replacing where the drive shaft goes into the engine.
Ive found two seals listed;

Gearbox oil seal and transfer box oil seal

i take it one is for one side of the car and one is for the other yeah? where the drive shaft goes into either the gear box or the transfer box and i need to order the one thats leaking.

Ive also read that i need to drain and replace the gearbox oil and i should use silkolene 5 75w 90w

Cheers

yes one is one side and one is the other, the transfer box oil seal is smaller than the gearbox oil seal ............... you will need gear oil because when you take the shaft out all the oil will come out the box

unless you jack that side of the car right up ;-) , Which should keep the oil in the box :thumbsup: ........

Or just drain it and put it back in after you've finished ;-) ....
