Breaking in a new clutch

I will be getting my car back from getting the new uprated clutch in, I would like to drag it 3 days after getting it back is there a sure fire way to quickly break it in and not damage it???

My roomate said I should just start out in 3rd and slip it until I'm moving at speed with the gear engaged then park it and let it cool? has anyone ever done this?

That's like breaking a new pair of socks in ?! :lol:

The only possible reason I could think to bed it is, is the same as you would some new brake pads.... to coat the disks with a very thin layer of the new pad material, or in your case, the new clutch friction disk material...

Just treat it how you would normally and it'll be fine !

Stand on your room mates face and apply pressure gently over the surface until at full load. That should wear it in for him...

i clutch needs bedding in just like a new set of pads and discs 50 miles of normal driving will do it mate
