Brandshatch Trackday-Who's coming along?

As some of you guys will have seen in the " members rides" section on the modifiers forum
Ive finally got my track car in one piece.
Although its not how i want it -before i can develop it further i want to get some r&d done on track
-that and i'd enjoy driving the thing rather than throwing money at a heap of metal for a change.

So if anyone wants to join me on track at brandshatch on the 30th of october,
for either a look around the gtir's that attend
(a kind of mini meet, il happily take anyone for a passenger lap if theyre intrested)
Or a light hearted trackday then put your name down on here and il see you there.

It'd be good to get a few gtirs out on the same day as theyre quite a rare site at trackdays theses days.-Having spoke to a few of you guys (it was actually Bob that suggested this date) recently im sure that a few will be keen to make the most of their cars before winter sets in.

Lets face it,most of our cars can go from 0-liciense loosing speeds in under ten seconds.
where as on track you go as fast as you like and upset super cars all day without a worry.

Tell me about it bob, less than 200 miles in and over revved it yesterday and (at best) bent a valve, ive got a few engines and a few other cars so il still do brands -hopefully in the gtir.

I'm goin to try my damndest to be there. The Pulsar is a paper weight right now but I'm thinking a new starter will have her back in business soon. I'm going to be selling or breaking her soon and I want to give her one good last hoorah!! I will probably be bringing some of my mates ... not GtiRs but trackday enthusiast just as well.

wht a bummer

you may be lucky though and just thrown rocker, it all depends wherther it jammed under a cam and held the valve down in which case could be a costly fix.
did you have rocker stoppers fitted?

this is why i only book one track day at a time as you just dont know whats gonna happen but hopefully you may get away with minimal damage

dan pity you cant make his day you going back to the states?

No I'm scheduled for a deployment ... can't really say much more than that. It's all good though!! I've already registered for a full open pit lane day at Bedford for next Saturday!! :-D

There's a chance that when we used the only other vipec map as a base, We may not have lowered/used a rev limiter lol
if its more than rocker damage (have a feeling its terminal:doh il be fitting a spare engine next weekend,

Either way, il bring something to the track either the evo or 1M depending on the weather,

It'l be good to see a few of you guys there-just a heads up to those who are interested in this event ive noticed that brands trackdays have been selling out quite quickly recently so keep an eye on the availabilty.

i forgot all about booking it jamie, tried booking place today and its sold out so put an ad on pistonheads to see if anyone ants to flog there ticket.
i might well be coming in my new gtr35 with 600bhp if i can get a ticket
